Members of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants are required to comply with a set of fundamental principles.  They provide a good code for anyone to live their business life by.  Clients and potential clients of FDPO should be aware that we expect to uphold these principles :


INTEGRITY - to be straightforward and honest

OBJECTIVITY - to not allow bias, conflict of interest or undue influence of others to override professional judgement

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE AND DUE CARE - to maintain professional knowledge and skill and act diligently

CONFIDENTIALITY - to respect confidentiality, not to disclose without authority (unless there is a legal or professional duty) and not to use information for personal gain

PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR - to comply with the law and not act discreditably


These principles are only of use within an individual's  system of values : here is a core personal value
